An unmissable event with taste and innovation
Casa Motta Gastronomy… another tasty stop!
Our journey into the world of quality continues, together with many exhibitor companies, for an incredible edition of Marca by BolognaFiere 2024 (16 and 17 January 2024), a fair dedicated to commercial brands, organized by BolognaFiere in collaboration with ADM, the Modern Distribution Association. Some numbers: twentieth edition, 7 pavilions, 1100 exhibitors, 26,000 square meters in the Bologna exhibition center. The context is closely linked to our sector: Marca is the only Italian trade fair dedicated to commercial brands, a large showcase where excellent Italian distributor-brand products are displayed.
The inaugural conference dedicated to professionals was very interesting: “Branded products reached a sales share of over 35% in 2023.We offer excellent quality products at affordable prices, in order to promote consumer protection. More than 1,200 companies have decided to participate in Marca, and for us distributors this is a great moment to enhance this experience and activate innovative paths.” (Mauro Lusetti, president of ADM Modern Distribution Association).
This opportunity of comparison and visibility has brought – for us too – confirmation of our positioning choices, also in terms of innovation and sustainability. Our approach is an active attitude of analysis and projection towards increasingly complex markets: our guidelines put our potential customers at the center, with an offer based on objective quality and transparency. The economic and commercial value of our range takes into account the current socio-economic conditions (inflation, decrease in income, propensity for selective purchasing) and our brand policy is not to give up on sustainability, in its broadest meaning.
This is why we constantly improve our ecological and sustainable packaging,with biodegradable and compostable materials. The event organized by the Consumer Packaging Observatory is very interesting, it highlights that 40% of Italians expect an increase in the purchase of food and drinks with sustainable packaging in the next 12 months. For 80% of Italians it is important to know the recycling process of the packaging and its future fate.
But it’s not all: we make sure to be constantly updated on sector trends, as regards current regulations, distribution models and of course the expectations of consumers. We opt for coherent choices and compare different aspects that emerge daily, and also through an event like Marca, in order to implement new resources for new projects.
It is no coincidence that on our website there is a quote that says: “It is not enough to say Motta- Barlassina produces cooked ham, cold cuts and delicatessen. First of all, our company has body and soul. The soul is the idea of those who founded it in 1935, whereas the body is that of those who worked nowadays in the company.” And again: “Always devoted to correctness, it is the watchword.
